Midtown Tampa, the $1 billion development in the city, is getting an escape room.
Yes, the 23-acre center that boasts hotels, national retailers, luxury apartments and a growing who’s who of corporate clients is getting into the craze.
The Escape Game, a national chain with more than 40 locations, has leased 3,500 square feet and is set to open in the fall.
According to a new release from the developer, The Bromley Cos., when it opens, the local version of The Escape Game will have “seven, uniquely themed games including their hardest game, Prison Break, and their newest experience, Cosmic Crisis.”
“Each game is crafted at The Escape Game’s ‘Adventure Factory’ in Nashville, Tennessee, by a team of game designers, architects, engineers, carpenters, scenic artists, tech experts, and storytellers.”
Midtown Tampa is a1.8 million-square-foot, development on North Dale Mabry, just off Interstate 275, with a tenant roster that includes REI Co-op, Whole Foods, Prudential, Primo, Nestle and Tampa-based technology staffing company Kforce.
There is an 18-story office building under construction within the development where Tampa Electric and People’s Gas will take 11 floors and move about 900 employees when the work is done.
