Check out these new renderings of Midtown Tampa, the $500 million mixed-use development at I-275 and Dale Mabry

The developer of Midtown Tampa has released two new renderings that provide a new perspective on the massive project at full buildout.

Bromley Cos. on Wednesday released renderings that show an aerial, eastern view of the plaza in the development as well as an overall eastern view of the entire 1.8 million-square-foot project from North Dale Mabry Highway.

Midtown, which consists of 22 acres at the intersection of Interstate 275 and North Dale Mabry Highway, has taken its first steps toward reality in recent weeks: In late June, Bromley demolished an old office tower on the site; in May, it paid $10.5 million for the 1-acre parcel that’s essentially the front door to the development.

Whole Foods Market Inc. has committed to move its existing Tampa store at the nearby Walters Crossing shopping center to Midtown; Crescent Communities of Charlotte, North Carolina, has entered a partnership to develop 400 apartments within Midtown.

Bromley is targeting restaurants, fitness studios, boutiques, a wine bar and potentially outdoors store REI to fill the 240,000 square feet of retail space within Midtown.
